It's September 2022. Me and Jack are seriously flirting with the idea of quitting our jobs. The question was what for. We'd always loved Greek food - and frankly, I'd never been impressed with the Warrington food scene, let alone the non-existent Greek food in it. So, (not so) logically we decide that we need to be the ones to do something about it.

I applied to Warrington Market as a food trader. Somehow, I made the final three. Paul, the market manager, clearly believed in me, but we had a business plan and nothing more. We were rejected, the main reason being no trading experience.

So we went and got some. In the form of a food truck.

Fast forward to April 2024. We've been grafting, building the business from the truck, and then the phone rings. It's Paul. Same man and same market. Us all being from Warrington, of course he already knew our answer.

We opened a month later.

Good to know: Opening times may differ here, if Warrington Wolves play at home we open a little later and in the winter we shut a little earlier so keep an eye on Warrington Market Cookhouse opening times.
